Is now closed...
I would like to announce the
closure of Secco Secco had built a good reputation
for an innovative approach to dining whilst using the best local seasonal and
the best southern Italian staples for food and at reasonable prices. Accolades such as Top 100
Restaurant 2010, Remy award (“Kitsch to Koons”)
2009, Best Newcastle restaurant by Gourmet Society 2008, runner up The best
50 of Northeast 2007. As much as I tried to trade
longer, there seems to have been a considerable shift over this year
regarding the amount of customers coming in during the week. Increase on the
fresh and quality products also did have a side effect. Although this market
is strong it simply is not as it was before. Despite this I also felt Secco
is performing a lot better in numbers of diners than many established
restaurants in the city in past twelve month but that wasn’t good
enough! Secco
has enjoyed good numbers of diners every week it may seem strange that sadly
it has come to this? Unfortunately however there have been financial
difficulties and spells throughout this current year where Secco simply is
not achieving enough to continue trading. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank all our customers, chefs, staff and everyone, many of
whom have supported Secco and me since the start. Up to now…. However if you still like to
leave your comments please follow us on face book page… www.facebook.com/secco.ristorante P.S. No
regrets! - Apart from my bank account
which is -£0.00 All the best! Hamed Fardoust Director |
